Why She’s a Food Hero: At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Leah Pavlov began putting together prepared lunch boxes using her own birthday and allowance money. She donated these meals to frontline emergency room workers at NYC Health+Hospitals/Coney Island.
Background: Pavlov is a sixth grade honors student at P.S. 195 Manhattan Beach.
